Tukaiz Founder and CEO, Frank Defino, Sr. Inducted into Printing Industry Hall of Fame Frank Defino, Sr., founder and CEO of Tukaiz, a leading marketing services production company, has been selected as an inductee into the 2013 Printing Impressions/RIT Printing Industry Hall of Fame. Each year, Printing Impressions, one of the most influential and widely-read news resources for commercial printers, pays tribute to industry leadership by inducting four new members into the Hall of Fame. Defino was honored during a special Gold Ink Awards and Hall of Fame Gala which took place on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Hotel in Chicago. |

“I am deeply honored to be selected as part of the 29th induction class of the Printing Industry Hall of Fame,” Defino said. “With 50 years in the industry, I have been fortunate to see our business grow and transform from manual prepresses into the digital revolution. This recognition makes our 50th anniversary this year even more meaningful.” Defino launched Tukaiz March 3, 1963 as a prepress and plate-making services provider in a 1,500 square-foot basement space. Half a century later, the family-owned Tukaiz is recognized both nationally and internationally as a comprehensive marketing services production company offering creative design, imaging, print and interactive services, as well as software development, bindery and fulfillment. Its campus now encompasses more than 175,000 square feet across eight buildings with an additional ninth building being purchased in 2013. Tukaiz will add 90,000 square feet to its campus. However, the company’s commitment to excellence and customer care remains unchanged.
